I asked Coz for a price quote on three things, one of which was a Stillen service cover. He gave me a reduced shipping fee, took 6 to 7% of one item and quoted the cover as $100100, yes that's right, one hundred thousand one hundred dollars. The catalog price of the cover is $125. I took the $100100 quote to be a keystroke error in which $100 was repeated twice. To place my order I copied the list of the three items, including his prices, from his email quote and pasted it to my reply but I changed the cover price to $100. I prefaced the list with "Send me the following as per the prices you quoted me:" Coz completed my order but billed me $125 for the Stillen cover. After I disputed this amount, he claims that the $100100 refers to the part number and is not a price (the catalog no. is 300-100100), and that the catalog price should apply. I argue that he was asked to provide a price quote, he provided an obviously mistaken one which I made a counter offer to, and he accepted the counteroffer by completing my order. I put this question to you: in this situation what is the correct charge for the Stillen cover, 100 or $125?
